Monochrome brings together the work of Donald Sultan, John Walker, Javed Akhtar, Sean Cavanaugh, James Prosek, Izzie Beirne and Regina Parra —six artists of different generations, backgrounds, and approaches whose work demonstrates how perception is activated when chromatic range is deliberately restricted. Here, monochrome is less a category than a condition of heightened seeing, in which attention is redistributed across surface, structure, and material presence.
